Our Nashville team is composed of seasoned experts in the financial industry with a broad spectrum of specialization across various sectors.
Chris Lewis is the Founder of Greenwood Capital Advisors. At Greenwood, Chris oversees both the Investment Banking and Corporate Finance Advisory functions. Beyond developing relationships with key centers of influence and clients, Chris leverages his background in corporate finance and investment banking to provide key strategic advice to founders and institutional investors across the middle market. He brings 15 years of investment banking and finance experience and has extensive experience in advising and executing liquidity and acquisition facilities, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and debt & equity raises.
Prior to founding Greenwood with his partners, Chris was the Managing Director for Investment Banking at Addicus Capital Advisors. As a senior investment banker, Chris developed and executed corporate-level strategy to gain market share within the firm’s desired footprint. Prior to joining Addicus, Chris was the Managing Director & Regional Head for the Southeast US at Greenwich Capital Group.
Chris set the foundation for his career on Wall Street, where he held executive positions for some of the biggest investment banks in the world. Chris was a Director at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., where he delivered M&A advisory, capital markets, and structured debt solutions for clients. Prior to ABN AMRO, Chris was a Senior Vice President at MUFG in their Industrials coverage team, where he was responsible for advising C-suite and senior management on strategic and financing solutions, including M&A, public capital markets, private placements, and structured financing products.
Chris began his career at GE Capital and Citi in Associate positions. At GE Capital, Chris was trained extensively in Credit Risk Management. At Citi, Chris developed key skills in modeling, creating marketing documents, and other core investment banking skills. Chris firmly believes in a comprehensive view of transactions. By leveraging his credit risk training with an investment banking growth mindset, Chris is able to provide clients with accurate and balanced advice.
Chris has executed transactions in excess of $25 billion over the course of his career. He obtained a dual JD/MBA from Vanderbilt University Law School and Vanderbilt University – Owen Graduate School of Management, respectively.
Halle Huff, a Cocoa Beach native, brings a unique blend of military discipline and creative vision to her role as Chief of Staff at Greenwood Capital Advisors. After graduating high school, Halle joined the U.S. Navy, serving as a boatswain mate on the U.S.S. Somerset. This experience equipped her with invaluable skills in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
After her military service, Halle pursued her passion for design at Belmont University in Nashville, where she studied Interior Design and Architecture. Her dedication and innovative approach to design earned her recognition as a 2020 NYCxDesign Award Winner, issued by Interior Design Magazine. With extensive experience in architecture, Halle specializes in rendering and AI visualization, merging technology with creative design.
Looking ahead, Halle aspires to bridge her love for design with investment banking, aiming to create impactful solutions that enhance both fields. Her diverse background and forward-thinking mindset make her a vital asset to the Greenwood Capital Advisors team.
Kyle Kinnane is a Senior Analyst at Greenwood Capital Advisors (GCA) in Nashville, TN, where he leverages a solid foundation in finance and a deep passion for investment banking. He has successfully contributed to a diverse range of transactions, including debt and equity raises, sell-side and buy-side M&A, and restructurings across various sectors, including industrial manufacturing, real estate, fintech, and healthcare.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Finance and minoring in Economics, from Loyola Marymount University. During his time there, he was also a member of the Division 1 golf team. Continuing his education, Kyle earned a Master of Science in Finance from Villanova University, where he competed as a Division 1 golfer while completing a year-long investment banking internship at Clarke Advisors.
Driven by a desire to bring a Wall Street-level analysis and transaction processes to the middle market, Kyle joined Chris Lewis at Greenwood Capital Advisors to help establish GCA as the premier Southern-based investment bank led by the paramount experts of the financial industry.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and watching college football, reflecting his competitive spirit and diverse interests.
Skyler Dale is a junior analyst at Greenwood Capital Advisors, where he assists with financial research and analysis, preparing presentations and reports, and supporting administrative tasks. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE). This multidisciplinary academic background provides him with a nuanced perspective on business strategy, global markets, and the broader economic landscape.
Prior to transitioning into investment banking, Skyler gained valuable experience in business development at Boomi and Oracle NetSuite. In these roles, he played a pivotal role in driving growth, cultivating client relationships, and identifying emerging opportunities within the tech sector. His tenure in business development honed his analytical acumen, enabling him to discern market trends and potential growth areas within organizations.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Skyler is an enthusiast of active lifestyles, engaging in hobbies such as golfing, skiing, and backpacking. These activities underscore his commitment to discipline, perseverance, and embracing new challenges. An avid follower of major league sports, he brings the same competitive spirit to his professional endeavors.

Patrick H. Johnson is a renowned health care executive and business leader, know for his innovative contributions to healthcare and strategic community investments. As a key member of Nashville’s Coronavirus Task Force, he led initiatives for mass testing and community assessment centers. Formerly a senior VP at Meharry Medical College, he now advocates for health equity and is a founder of the Nashville Baseball Investment Group.
During more than 20 years as a fintech executive, Kevin Jones has built his reputation alongside trusted experts in the financial industry. He excels in creating customer-centered cultures and driving diverse teams to deliver consistent revenue growth, operational fitness, strong profitability, and shareholder return.
As founder and CEO of Celero Commerce, Kevin is building an organization that blends payments, software technologies, and data into an easy-to-consume bundle of products and services aimed at helping small and mid-sized businesses compete and win in a complex marketplace. Celero, currently among the 10 largest non-bank payments processors in the country, serves more than 50,000 American businesses through strategic partnerships, direct-to-merchant strategies, integrated distribution channels, and software-as-a-service solutions for over 60 verticals.
Since the company’s founding in late 2018, Jones and the leadership team at Celero have completed ten acquisitions, as they focus on building the country’s premier platform of high-tech, high-touch payments solutions that help businesses thrive.
Prior to Celero, Kevin enjoyed a stint as President of SignaPay, where he ultimately achieved five-fold growth in adjusted EBITDA. Kevin most recently achieved a successful exit at Anovia Payments, guiding this startup to a 8.5x investment return, with organic acquisition of more than 10,000 customers in a four year period.
Benny Word joined Collier Engineering in 2007. As a Senior Project Manager, Benny’s focus has been on municipal projects in Nashville, Tennessee. As the Metro Public Works Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program Manager, he has worked with over three hundred neighborhood associations in Nashville, attending neighborhood meetings and advising their members and constituents on traffic calming measures available for their area through Metro Public Works of Nashville and Davidson County. Benny also acts as a liaison to the Metro Council members of Nashville and Davidson County to help them promptly respond to their constituents on traffic matters that may directly affect the area or neighborhood that they represent.
Benny’s enduring client relationships and exceptional ability to coordinate with multiple agencies ensure the success of any project. His experience and professionalism keep municipal projects running smoothly.
With the Metro Public Works Sidewalk Improvement Program, Benny has overseen project implementation, reporting, and direction of the program to the Mayor’s Office. He also directs projects and priorities in conjunction with and is directed by the Metro Public Works Sidewalk Program Manager and other staff. He is heavily involved with ADA compliance and utility coordination. Benny routinely handles sensitive correspondence with Metro Council members and their constituents and conducts public meetings concerning this program’s direction and issues.
